By accessing or using the Employment Compass client portal ("the Portal"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the Portal. These terms form part of your service agreement with Employment Compass Pty Ltd (ABN 52 621 421 112).

Your data: You retain ownership of all data you upload or create in the Portal. We process your data solely to provide the agreed services.
Our content: All Portal content, including templates, guides, and generated documents, is provided for your internal business use. Templates are based on Australian employment law but may require customisation for your specific circumstances.

The Portal, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Employment Compass Pty Ltd. Your subscription grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Portal for your internal business purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Portal.
Information provided through the Portal, including AI-generated content, compliance alerts, and document templates, is general in nature and does not constitute legal advice. While we base our guidance on current Australian employment legislation and Modern Awards, you should seek independent legal advice for complex or contentious matters. Employment Compass is not a law firm.
We aim to maintain Portal availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for disruptions caused by factors outside our control, including internet outages, third-party service failures, or force majeure events.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Employment Compass's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Portal is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including lost profits or data loss. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Portal access is tied to your Employment Compass service agreement. Upon termination of your subscription, your Portal access will be revoked. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination. After this period, data will be deleted in accordance with our retention policy, subject to legal record-keeping obligations.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Portal or via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Portal after changes constitutes acceptance.
